[00:00.00] 作曲 : Sander van Dijck[00:00.32]"Brighter Days"[00:01.29][00:02.84]"Brighter days" is a great example of a song that happened so organically[00:06.40]I met Bipolar Sunshine, who sings on the song, at Coachella[00:11.58]We really wanted to make music together, and a week later, we were cooking music in the kitchen of my AirBNB, like literally in the kitchen[00:19.80]Laptop on the kitchen table, speakers on the side[00:25.45]It was really funny, we recorded everything in the kitchen[00:28.51][00:29.43]First I played him this little loop I made:[00:42.89][00:58.05]So yeah, I played him that and he really liked that and he started writing melodies and the words to it right away[01:04.22]I am very specific about lyrics[01:06.33]Some producers start off with lyrics, you know, that they get sent to them from other writers or publishers[01:13.60]And then they built this song around the lyrics[01:15.71]But for me it doesn't really work like that, I-I wanna do the music first, I wanna get a vibe with the music, a feeling with the music first and then write about the feeling that the music gives me[01:26.22]Which is, I think there's no right or wrong, it's just a different approach[01:29.38]But that's my way of feeling really connected to the music[01:32.77]Otherwise, I just can't do it[01:34.72]But luckily Bipolar and I were on the same page from the start[01:38.04]I think we wrote and recorded the song in two days and, even though I worked on the drop for weeks-and-weeks-and-weeks, the writing of the song felt very organic[01:49.36][01:49.49]To me, 'brighter days' is about reminiscing:[01:52.19]Thinking about an old love and wondering if that person does the same thing too from time-to-time[01:59.12]It's not a very sad song, I feel like it's more... I feel it's more like an optimistic song[02:06.10]Knowing that even though you might be sad about some things in your life right now, brighter days will come
